Free headsets and food on British Airways
Only 11 days to go! Are you getting excited? I am!
I just called British Airways. You don't have to pay for the headsets, and you'll be fed (unlike most of the U.S. airlines). Bring just one piece of checked luggage weighing up to 44 pounds because of the Aer Lingus restrictions. You're entitled to one carry-on weighing up to 13 pounds (plus a purse for the ladies; sorry, guys).
Remember that I'll be attending a workshop in Berkeley next week and will have only limited email access. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know ASAP.
Start blogging about your trip preparations. You can respond to a posting, but if you want to talk about something different, please start a new posting. Remember that one of the course requirements is to blog at least twice in each country. Blogging about our trip preparations will give you practice.
This will be fun!
Cheers,
Carol

I checked the British Airways website:
Two pieces with total dimensions 158 cm (62 ins) (length + height + width) and a maximum weight per piece of 32 kg (70 lbs).
I called again just to make sure. Yes, you can check two bags weighing 70 pounds each. Your carry-on is limited to 13 pounds and 46 inches total dimensions (length + height + width).
Even so, pack light! Leave extra space for souvenirs.
